Hello everyone, these days I’ve been having an amazing time creating fun new handcrafted art pieces. Yesterday I spent a quiet evening working with a tiny wood crafted shadow box, while listening to the singer Toni Braxton's music from the early 90's. I can truly say I enjoy many things from the past, as it brings me such a high voltage of creative energy and a girlish smile that streams across my face (with dimples). So the idea of creating something old from something new was brought to my attention last evening, by a beautiful singer with a soothing voice filled with sultry sounds. I also pondered on the new artist in today’s world of music, visual art and designs that continue to blend much of the old with the new to create amazing masterpieces of their own
So with the already nicely carved wood box, acrylic paints, rub on techniques and metal leaf glaze solution, the above design was brought to life. The amazing part of this design is the size of the box, the perfect fit for a beautiful surprise for someone you love, such as a small pendant, loose chain, wedding ring or anything you feel can fits your gift idea.
I you want to know more about antiquing wood please write me and I will be happy to share. By the way I am still learning new ways as well. You can also go to my favorite links and check out my designs, along with my funny pictures. I am still working on some videos for anyone who misses me. Enjoy your week and keep sharing your love and compassion.
