The Elegant Beauty of Chalchihuitl (Turquoise)

The elegant beauty of the Chalchihuitl(known by the Aztecs) turquoise gemstone is more than just a color or shape. Its the geologic events that must synchronize to create its diverse color hue, veins and texture.Which takes a time span of  hundreds of thousands of years. The turquoise gemstone has been a mother earth treasure shared by many tribes throughout the world. The Pueblo Native Americans legend says that "the turquoise steals its color from the sky".The natural properties have been used by artisans and spiritualist to create the most beautiful masterpieces and jewelry still worn today. It is becoming extremely rare to find a pure gemstone due to its quality and sought after designs. With today's evolving jewelry industry you can find a great market for semi precious and synthetic stones. Even though there are different takes on the gemstones and color variations, the beauty of every designs cannot be match. It is one of my favorite earth stone mineral and vibrant color.

As for the turquoise color, it is absolutely gorgeous for interior designs and simplistic living. This sought out color has become more and more of the go to textile of the millennial. It brings out the cultural richness in home decor and a welcomed eclectic living space. So if you are not sure about your next jewelry purchase or have any decorating ideas, try giving turquoise a try. You cannot go wrong with choosing anything from this textile family.
